Pizza Hut is doing their best to keep up with the times which can be a struggle for a traditional sit down restaurant. They stand well in the UK pizza market with a recognisable brand and often memorable advertising campaigns.

Over the years they have adjusted their offer to include the launch of take-away/delivery units and the addition of these services within many of their pizza restaurants.

Their pizza menu range has extended to give a far better impression of the Italian pizza as opposed to the British alternative that they may have been associated when they established the company name over 40 years ago.

In a manner that might have been deemed panic they changed their name to ‘Pasta Hut’ with a significant TV advertising campaign. This involved adding twelve ‘Tuscani’ pasta dishes to the customer’s choice. The change of name was certainly a success in introducing us to the new outlook by Pizza Hut but the name was changed back to the original branding by popular demand from its very own customers.

Today Pizza Hut strives to provide not only the best pizzas but also a great pasta and salad range. They are slowly but surely offering online pizza ordering for collection and delivery and still have some great lunchtime offers.

Pizza Hut is definitely a family friendly environment and also great for a big group of friends eating out and wanting a fun and relaxed atmosphere.

Pizza Express has always really signified pizza trying to be posh to me. The ambience created in their restaurants and impression created by their logo is aimed at being sophisticated and sleek as opposed to the bright red, cartoon-like logo of Pizza Hut.

Pizza Express prides itself on a carefully chosen children’s menu, a big emphasis on trusted suppliers and their wine list.

Capitalising on the ‘eat-at-home’ market, Pizza Express have extended their range to the supermarket freezers sections.

There is a definite emphasis on Pizza Express’ desire to capture the luxury end of the pizza restaurant market.

Take-away Pizza Brands 

There are huge numbers of take-away pizza shops all over the UK. Do you visit just any pizza takeaway for your pizza, or do you prefer to order from a name you recognise?

Most will have their favourite pizza takeaway close by to where they live and if they like the pizza does it really matter which brand it is?

The advantages of using the more established UK pizza takeaway brands is that, in theory, their product should not differ too much between branches and many can guarantee fast delivery, online ordering and may even accept credit/debit cards for payment.
