The Chester Cheese Rolling Championships 2010 will take place on 16th February and are a definite must see event for visitors and locals alike.

Watch whilst the Cheshire locals and Lancashire and Stilton rivals roll their chosen cheeses through an obstacle course.

Followed by The Pancake Race at 1.30pm.

Celebrate Chinese New Year 2010 in Chester | February 13th 2010

Chinese New Year celebrations wouldn’t be complete without the traditional Unicorn, Dragon and Lion Dance. You can see the parade through the centre of the city on February 13th 2010.

The parade starts from The Cross at 11.30am and can found in the Town Hall Square around midday. Continue the Chinese New Year Celebrations by following the parade to the Slow Boat Restaurant just before 1pm; where you can enjoy traditional firecrackers and join in craft workshops through until 3pm.

Chester’s Chinese New Year celebrations have been put together this year, with the help of the Cheshire West and Chester Council, by the Wah Lei Chinese Association which is newly formed.
