This annual pilgrimage walk between two local sites of Viking heritage commemorates St Olav, patron saint of Norway.

The 13-mile walk will be accompanied by Stein Thue from Trondheim, where St Olav is buried.

Stein, who organises the famous St Olav pilgrimage in Norway, will explain the essentials of the pilgrimage along the way.

The walk will finish with a short ceremony outside St Olave’s Church in Chester.

Sensory Awareness Day:
Reptiles and Amphibians

Enjoy a special day at Chester Zoo with themed activities and garden walks.

On four days throughout 2010, Chester Zoo will be running themed activities for all visitors, when you can enjoy tours and activities with a British Sign Language interpreter and a visual describer.

July’s event will have a reptile and amphibian theme.

The day will include a guided tour of the Zoo’s amphibian and reptile exhibits, a chance to meet the keeper and some snakes, stick insects and snails, and experience a crocodile or Komodo dragon feed.

…Hercules is not having a good day. If only his father, Zeus could see beyond his earthly shortcomings…

Not the most organised of super heroes and a bit of a disaster zone, our Hercules is a powerful force of nature.

He doesn’t know his own strength, but maybe that’s what makes him (half) human after all!

An uproarious adventure through Hercules’ loves and labours – monsters, magicians, music and mayhem – a carnival for all the family.

n.b. Our productions are simply staged and beautiful to look at, highly physical and suitable for all ages.
Even if your children are too young for Shakespeare, they’ll certainly love our hero Hercules…

There are 8 performances a week, including 2.00pm matinees on Thursdays and Saturdays, and a tea time special on a Sunday at 5.00pm.
