St John the Baptist’s Church

St John’s, which was the original Cathedral of Chester, is open daily for Morning Prayer; the Eucharist can be taken on Wednesdays and Sundays.

The Church is open daily. There currently no fixed advertised times.

Chester City Mission

Chester City Mission is situated in the centre of Chester city. It operates as a place of worship, with Sunday morning service at 10.45am, and Sunday evening s service at 6.30pm.

The Mission has been working as a charity since 1845; providing services to help the poor and elderly in the community.

Wesley Methodist Church

Located close to the Eastgate Clock, the Wesley Methodist Church offers a variety of facilities including children’s play area and crèche; aside from the peaceful church. Its Fair Trade Shop is also a popular reason to visit.

It is open Monday to Saturday; from 10am to 4pm.

St Werburgh’s Roman Catholic Church

St Werburgh’s RC Church is one of at least ten churches dedicated to St Werburgh – the patron saint of Chester.

You can see a window and shrine dedicated to the saint, in Chester Cathedral.

The Church also runs a Parish Centre, in Brook Street; serving the community with a variety of sporting activities, celebrations and charity events.

Northgate Church – the Church of the Way

Northgate Church is a member of LifeLink International Churches. Prayer meetings are held for different members through the week

Sunday services are held at 9.15am, 11.30am and 6.30pm.
