The Miller’s Tale
The Miller’s Tale
An Evening of Entertainment
Event suitable for Adults and Children over 14 years.
Storyteller Tom Hughes explores the role of millers in folk tales, from Chaucer to the Brothers Grimm.
Gathering in the atmospheric setting of the ancient mill, he will take you on a journey through the stories contrasting the images of cheats and misers to the idea of ‘the jolly miller’.
The real millers, who are jolly of course, will then lead an informal trip around the working watermill.
The evening includes storytelling, mill tour, drink and nibbles.
