2010 Chester Raft Race will take part on the 4th July, down at the River Dee, and is being held in aid of the Help for Heroes fundraising efforts; as well as other smaller local causes.
The Rotary Club of Chester do an excellent job of organising the famous Chester Raft Race every year alongside many other events; which benefit the local community.
Each year the event sees around 40 home-made rafts race down the River Dee from the Meadows to the Chester Weir, covering 400 metres, in timed heats of 4 or 5 teams.
Each team dresses up for the event in the year’s chosen theme, adding to the hilarity of the spectacle.
