Chester Winter Watch Parades – 3rd and 10th December 2009

We were treated to a superb Chester Midsummer Watch Parade in June this year and we can be sure that this year’s Chester Winter Watch Parades will not disappoint.

The Chester Christmas Watch Parades date way back to the 1400′s, as do the Midsummer events, and were the handing over of the keys to the City from the city leaders to the City Watch.

Both evening Chester Winter Watch Parades will start from the Eastgate Clock at 7pm and travel through the streets of Chester city centre, including St Werburgh Street, Northgate Street and Bridge Street.

The Parades will congregate finally on Eastgate Street, just outside Brown’s of Chester, for Christmas festivities involving dragons, dancers and fire.
