Fundraising For The Alzheimer’s Society: Rachel and Kat Cycle Around Cuba!!

We are cycling almost 400km around Cuba over 5 days in January 2010 to raise money for the Alzheimer’s Society!

The society has set us a target of raising over £6000 of sponsorship between us, though we would like to raise as much as possible!

Why are we doing it?

Apart from the fact that this will be an amazing (and painful) experience, the Alzeimer’s Society really is a great cause to support…. One in three people over 65 will die with dementia and it’s more than just memory loss; it robs people of their lives and has a devasting impact on loved ones too.The society supports those affected by dimentia and does some really fantastic work see www.alzheimers.org.uk for more info.

How can you sponsor us??

As well as each setting up a just giving site (they wouldn’t let us set up a joint one…) we will be holding lots of funs fundraising events over the next 8 months or so(we’re thinking ceilidhs, band nights, ladies nights, speed dating…).
