1) Chester Zoo

Chester Zoo is a great and very full day out suitable for all age groups and may be the perfect escape away from the city shopping madness during October Half Term.

During the school holidays, Chester Zoo will be open from 10am right up until 5pm.

What’s On at Chester Zoo during Autumn Half Term?

- take a visit to the Chester Zoo Lecture Theatre to hear director Robert Murray introduce his film ‘End of the Line’ which discusses results of investigations and consequences of over-fishing in our oceans

- on the 30th October you can enjoy dinner at Oakfield Manor coupled with Spooky Tales to get you in the mood for Halloween.

The Circuit - Chester2)  The Circuit Indoor Karting Centre


The Circuit Indoor Karting Centre at Deeside is the perfect solution for a rainy day in the October Autumn Half Term Holidays.

Go-Karting at The Circuit is suitable for children from as young as 8 years old (minimum height 135cm).

Arrive and Drive is available and great for the first time Go-Karter. This gives you the opportunity to turn up and try out the track for a full fifteen minutes for only £13

There are more great special offers available at The Circuit Chester including:

Happy Hours Karting for Weekday Evenings where you can speed around the track for three lots of twelve minutes, for one person, for as little as just £20.

Weekday Special Offer gives one driver two whole fifteen minute sessions for only £20.

Northgate Arena offers another great Chester Day Out for the Autumn Half Term – especially if it rains!

The centre is open from 6am in the morning through to 10.30pm in the evening and there are some fantastic facilities for you to use.

The CADSART Northgate Arena is more than just a swimming pool – it is the biggest sports and recreation centre in Chester

Main Play Frame Fun4All4) Fun4all

If you have younger children to keep occupied during the October Half Term why not take a visit to Fun4All on the Sealand Industrial Estate in Chester?

An ideal play day for children from 0 up to 11 years old, Fun4All is open from 10am until 6pm throughout the school holidays.

You can visit for just £3.95 with 1 to 4 year olds, £4.75 for over 5s and just £1 for babies under 1.

Or you could try out the playtime plus meal deal for £5.95 for 1 to 4 year olds and £6.95 for over 5s.

There are lots of great play facilities at Fun4All and if you choose the meal deal after a complete session here you could be rewarded with a peaceful evening to follow!

 

5) The Crocky Trail

If you like a challenge take the Autum Half Term Holidays as a chance to discover The Crocky Trail in Chester. Explore the one mile trail and find your way around a variety of obstacles that will have you swinging, sliding, climbing and working your way out of mazes and more.

The Crocky Trail is ideal for children aged 6 and upwards and even better if we get weather suitable for picnics.

Car parking is free at The Crocky Trail and entry is just £10 per person for over 5s – under 5s go free.

You can make a full day of it with the Trail opening at 10am through until 5pm.
