The Chester Racecourse horse racing season is drawing to a close. It has been an amazing year for Chester.
Chester Races 2009 Round-up
The Opening May Festival saw almost 17,000 visitors the Chester Chronicle reported.
Ladies Evening saw Chester Racecourse team up with Hollyoaks stars with Zoe Burns from Liverpool scooping the ‘Best Dressed’ Competition.
The Midsummer Meetings expected up to 30,000 visitors for Saturday’s meeting alone.
These events were closely followed by Ladies and Gents Evening and Totesport Day in July.
August 2nd featured the infamous Family Fun Day which hit the Guardian Sports News when the number of attendees reached more than a record 40,000.
Still remaining in this year’s season of meetings is the Summer Festival in August
The final fxtures for the Chester horse racing season fall in September:
The Dee Festival – Saturday 12th September
Gates Open at 11.30am for the Dee Festival with the first of the seven races of the day being run at 2.30pm.
The final race will be run at 5.50pm.
Tickets are priced from £7 for the Open area up to £41 for the County Long Room and should be purchased directly from the Chester Racecourse Ticket Website
The Autumn Finale – Saturday 26th September 2009
Gates Open at 11.30am for the Dee Festival with the first of the seven races of the day being run at 2.30pm.
The finale race will be run at 5.35pm.
Tickets are priced from £7 for the Open area up to £41 for the County Long Room and should be purchased directly from the Chester Racecourse Ticket Website
