Chester Racecourse hosts this year’s Summer Festival Weekend on Friday 21st and Saturday 22nd August.

The Summer Festival is unique in the Chester Racecourse calendar providing a full two days of entertainment with the opportunity to experience the glamour and excitement of horse racing.

Friday’s event sees the racing start with the Maiden Fillies’ Stake at 2.30pm. The highest prize fund of the day will be awarded to the winner of the EBF Combermere Fillies’ Conditions Stakes running at 4.15pm.

The final race of the day is the Amateur Riders Handicap Stakes starting at 5.20pm.

Saturday is the Totesport Summer Festival Day with three of the six races being televised on Channel 4. The Handicap Stakes starts the day 2.20pm followed closely by two of the biggest prize fund races in the Chester Horse Racing season calendar. Both the ‘Chester Stakes’ and the ‘Heritage Handicap Stakes’ have £40,000 prize funds bringing the total to be won over the whole day event to a massive £124,000.

The Chester Stake is hailed as one of the most notable races in the yearly horse racing calendar.
